Are There Rebates or Tax Credits for a New HVAC System?

A: Often, yes — but we will not quote you a dollar figure we have not verified, because federal, state, and utility programs change eligibility and amounts on their own schedules, and an incentive that existed last year may not this year.

What we can tell you is the efficiency side, which is what nearly every program keys off. Oklahoma is in the DOE South region, so any new system we install already clears these floors:

  • 14.3 SEER2 (11.7 EER2) minimum for split-system air conditioners
  • 7.5 HSPF2 for split-system heat pumps, 6.7 HSPF2 for single-package units
  • 80% AFUE minimum for gas furnaces

Incentive programs usually sit well above those minimums, and geothermal has historically been treated separately from conventional equipment. Bring the specific program you are looking at to us and we will confirm what the proposed equipment actually rates.
